European Inspired Hair and Makeup

It’s all about that smooth, perfect skin y’all.

This is a mantra I’ve always maintained throughout my career as a makeup artist.  No matter the setting, how simple/complicated the details and decorations are, glowing flawless skin reigns supreme.  I just think “you’re skin looks amazing” is about the best compliment (on appearance) that I can possibly imagine!  I’m particularly proud when skin looks as good as this model’s does outside, because it’s like I’ve always said:

“If your makeup looks good outdoors, it’s going to look fabulous indoors.”

The gardens at Cator Woolford are a lovely blend of shade/sunshine, manicured lawn and natural English Garden landscape.  Uncomplicated and unfussy.  A setting that really let the bride and groom shine.  Her skin begged for a peaches-and-cream color palette so I steered away from darker eye shadows, false lashes or liquid liners.

Soft, flawless makeup and romantic European inspired updo

Beautiful example of European inspired hair and makeup for a bride

I’ve always thought that fresh, flawless skin and unfussy hair has that effortless Parisian essence.   Can’t you just imagine her reaching up and releasing that *one* single pin and all her soft hair cascading over her shoulders?  Soft soft soft.

You can see more photos from this beautiful shoot, featured in the February issue of Southeastern Bride.
